Yiannis Nova Dorakis As i used to hear more mellow hip-hop(ed) instrumentals by this genius called Buscrates 16-bit Ensemble analogue lover, than sampler (lover), this mellow funk spectrum is a unexpected (or not) suprise by him. Hard to choose the best track... That was made to be played in my cassette deck and LIVE Radio Show... Magic... Favorite track: Pittsburgh Sunset feat. JP Patterson.

King Hippo All around great guy and excellent producer, BUSCRATES, showcases his talent here with a modern funk boogie record. Great for rollin around town listening to or slow roasting a dance floor! Favorite track: Juice feat. JP Patterson.

about

Pittsburgh native and East Liberty Quarters alumni, BUSCRATES 16-BIT ENSEMBLE delivers "THE SPECTRUM". A six song instrumental EP with a deep range of tempos that span from that poolside funk to that dance floor boogie. BUSCRATES blasts off into smooth synth chords that peek over basslines like the sun peeks over the horizon to spread the light! Drawing us in with glow of the Rhodes pianos and bubbling Moog basslines BUSCRATES speaks the language of the mothership and there is no doubt he holds the keys. Whether it's taking us for a ride on the edge of the atmosphere with JUICE or if he's landing on the dancefloor with SHOWTIME, it's no doubt that BUSCRATES has the NATURAL FORCE with his funk that baptizes us like a PITTSBURGH SUNSET!
Fall into THE SPECTRUM!!
